CHICKEN SCRATCH

Used for seasoning ANY type of chicken for ANY type of cooking! You can get pretty heavy-handed with this because it’s only about 20% salt.

  • 3 tablespoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons paprika
  • 3 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon white pepper
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder

BUZZY’S BUTT RUB

A dry rub seasoning for grilling, smoking and slow cooking boston butts and pork roasts. PRO TIP: season a boston butt with 2 tablespoons rub, refrigerate overnight then cook on low in a crock pot for 10 hours with 1/4 cup Liquid Smoke (don’t add water) for THE BEST crock pot pulled pork you’ve ever had!

  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons oregano
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper

Post a Comment

Hi there! While I’m not able to respond to every comment, I try hard to answer any questions that haven’t been addressed in the post, recipe or in other comments.

I can tell you now 1) I have no idea if you can substitute Minute Rice or brown rice in my recipes because I’ve never used them and 2) If I know how to convert a recipe to a Crock Pot version, I will make a note about it (otherwise, I don’t know).

And though I may not respond to them all, I do read each and every comment and I LOVE to hear from you guys! Thanks, y’all! - Mandy
