Deep South Dish Cookbook Giveaway!

I am so excited to tell you about my friend Mary Foreman and her new cookbook! Since before I even got started with mine, Mary’s blog Deep South Dish, has always been my go-to resource for classic, scratch-made Southern recipes.

If I wanted to make something I grew up eating but never really had a recipe for, I’d go search Mary’s site to see how she made hers. She was like my Southern recipe encyclopedia!

Or if I was just looking for ideas for Sunday dinner, I’d always end up over at Mary’s. And I’d always land on something and think OH! I forgot all about that! I haven’t had that in YEARS!

This book is perfect for everything from making your weekly grocery list to planning your annual Christmas party! You’ll find something for everything and everyone here and it will all be made the authentic Southern way.

Mary’s book, named after her blog, Deep South Dish Homestyle Southern Recipes features so many of the very same recipes that first drew me to Mary. The book is put together beautifully and is loaded with color photos that Mary took right in her own kitchen. Here are a few of the goodies you’ll find in this gorgeous cookbook!

  22. THIS LOOKS LIKE A FANTASTIC COOKBOOK. I WAS RAISED ON SOUTHERN FOOD. WHEN I WAS FIRST OUT ON MY OWN I OFTEN CALLED MOM, GRANDMA OR ONE OF MY AUNT'S TO FIND OUT HOW TO COOK CERTAIN THINGS. THEY ARE ALL GONE ON TO BE WITH OUR LORD. I SOMETIMES REMEMBER SOMETHING THAT ONE OF THEM MADE THAT I NEVER GOT THE RECIPE FOR. I THINK MARY'S BOOK WOULD BE A GREAT PLACE TO START.

  177. I really would love to win this cookbook! I have been married for 10 years and I am not a good cook. We always eat basic foods. It is the same stuff week after week. When I discovered your page on fb all the food just looked wonderful but I am not much of a go getter when it comes to trying new recipes. After looking at these recipes for months I finally decided to try and OMG delicious!! My family just loves what we have tried so far. You have made eating here at home more enjoyable with this website. Please choose me to win this book, my family would be ever so grateful to you!! My husband and kids actually wanted to sit down as a family and enjoy the new taste of food. t.kenny40@hotmail.com

  187. Being from the South myself, I can totally relate to coming across family dishes that you forget about or never got the recipe for. I would love to win this cookbook because even though I have cookbooks from the family "reunions", there are still a lot of recipes that are missing and I would love to teach my daughter some of these Southern delights, to pass along through the generations. Thanks for keeping the Southern touch alive! If I am so lucky, please email me at: 4Tigermomma75@gmail.com

  189. I was not born in the South (Kansas) nor do I currently live there (Maryland). However I spent 9 years in Tennessee and consider it, in many ways, my home. While I was there I learned to cook, found love, found Jesus, made friends that are closer than family and I miss it every day. It's part of the reason I love your blog, your cookin and personality remind me of home. So show a Southern transplant some love. :)
