French Butter Cake with Old Fashioned Frosting - Weekend Potluck 399

A virtual recipe swap with dozens of new recipes from some of the TOP recipe creators online and on Pinterest!

The old-fashioned fudge frosting on one of our featured recipes this week REALLY caught my attention (and everyone else's, it seems because it was the most viewed recipe last week!). I love how we are all drawn to the old-school recipes our mamas and grandmas made 😊

Between that, this gorgeous potato soup, my favorite shortbread cookies and a Thanksgiving teaser, last week's potluck was jumping! Here are our featured recipes from last week:
  • French Butter Cake with Old Fashioned Fudge Frosting
  • Easy Loaded Potato Soup
  • Classic Snowball Cookies
  • Southern Cornbread Dressing with Sausage
  • Spider Cider (not pictured in collage below)

Take a look at these amazing recipes featured from last week's Weekend Potluck (recipe links listed with full photos just below), then scroll down to see all the NEW recipes this week!

Link-Up Guidelines:
We only have ONE simple rule to be a featured recipe:
  1. LINK BACK HERE from your post so that others can find the fun. FOOD RECIPE posts only. NO RECIPE ROUNDUP POSTS.

NEW FEATURE FOR BLOGGERS!
I will now have a "Mandy's Pick of the Week" recipe which will be a recipe shared to the Weekend Potluck through South Your Mouth's linkup party the week before!

REMINDER FOR BLOGGERS:
Each week we have to skip over gorgeous recipes to feature because the blogger didn't link back to the Weekend Potluck they shared their recipes on - our one and only rule. Please remember to link back or your recipe will not be featured. Thanks!

Hi there! While I’m not able to respond to every comment, I try hard to answer any questions that haven’t been addressed in the post, recipe or in other comments.

I can tell you now 1) I have no idea if you can substitute Minute Rice or brown rice in my recipes because I’ve never used them and 2) If I know how to convert a recipe to a Crock Pot version, I will make a note about it (otherwise, I don’t know).

And though I may not respond to them all, I do read each and every comment and I LOVE to hear from you guys! Thanks, y’all! - Mandy
