It steams the pods. I do not stir the okra into the peas, or the pods will break apart. Just a little trick I learned eons ago from a friend of mine. The frozen okra pods you don't have to do anything to, just put them in. The fresh okra pods, well naturally you wash them and lightly trim the top of the stem. Do not cut the top off, or the pods will get that slimy texture some don't like. Try this, you just might like it, that is if you like okra.Claudinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15098742952708750182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5848110156569017758.post-1754749993440146742022-01-02T20:29:00.893-05:002022-01-02T20:29:00.893-05:00It's typically just served as-is, though many ...It's typically just served as-is, though many folks eat peas and beans cooked like these over rice.Mandy Rivershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06710513097645421429noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5848110156569017758.post-71977961408775512602022-01-02T19:49:38.414-05:002022-01-02T19:49:38.414-05:00So this is typically served over rice rather than ...So this is typically served over rice rather than as a soup.
